We did it just right
We fixed things fine
In a world so young

If we could feel The pain
That brought her to her knees
I think we'd think it through again

Foundations of the earth distressed
The core is groaning at the weight
Of all our vying for more
The self-assured winking
As we play the whore
Self-loathing drunken godless
Poor!


Will we do her justice-right
And give her rest?
Will we purify,
De-foul the nest?
She is our home
Who leaves their mother
So bereft and so alone?
While patiently suffering
She pleads too
Of the master soul
She needs
Who can sanctify her
For the season yet to come

How we do behave
